At the Celebration & Vision Service on Sunday October 14, 2007, our senior minister Ian Powell presented a 5 Year Vision for Barneys.

Barneys Vision

To be a church of 1000 members (adults, youth and children) by 2012.

We have identified seven key strategies by which we hope to reach this Vision. The staff and church leadership are working hard to flesh out these strategies into concrete actions.

7 Strategies for Change

1. Faith-filled, urgent and persevering prayer that expects miracles from God

2. Pursue transformational discipleship

3. Unmissable 'Sundays'

4. A systematic, integrated approach to outreach

5. Organisational excellence to support growth

6. Launch and grow a campaign for the rebuilding of our church

7. Continue and increase our contribution to the wider Christian enterprise

Please pray that God will enable us, as a church, to reach our vision and change as necessary for His glory.
