Barneys Memories

Kris Argall 1987-2003
1. I remember many Friday mornings in the hall with Friday Morning Group, sharing the highs and lows of parenthood. In those early years of parenting, FMG gave me the encouragement and fellowship I needed to keep persevering and keep perspective. In terms of ‘support groups’, it was the best ever!
2. I remember the countless antics that residents of the Barneys Terraces got up to, and the great Lebanese take-away across the road (no longer there) where the turkish delight was 'out of this world'.
3. I remember when Di Morgan baptised our daughter Mary. Mary slept throughout the entire service, including her baptism, which was very surprising, as she had reflux at that time and rarely slept through anything.
4. I remember being mystified by the dirt collection in little jars above the bookstall.
5. I remember Tim’s and my wedding at Barneys – 3 December 1988.
6. I remember so many good times, many sad times, and countless other experiences in between – Barneys, by God’s grace, helped shape me to be the person that I am now. I like to think that that’s a good thing!
Kris, now lives in Melbourne with Tim and their three children, Jess (15), Mary (13) and Ben (10). Tim is deputy principal at PLC Melbourne, and Kris works for Acorn Press as an editor. We have two dogs, a cat, a lizard and three frogs, and worship at St Barnabas Glen Waverley (GWAC).
Matthew 19:26 - "For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible".
