Morning Congregation

The Morning Congregation has wonderful diversity - in age range, in spiritual maturity, in diversity of cultures and grasp of the English language! It is home for many of our families with children, international members and older Christians.

The morning service is held at 10am each Sunday morning. Join us for meaningful fellowship and worship, insightful teaching from the Bible, and a real community. The service runs for around 80 minutes and is followed by morning tea. There are also regular congregational lunches.

Barneys4Kids runs parallel to the morning service. There is a creche for babies aged 6 months-2 years, and fun programs for kids from 3 years of age to grade 6 at school.

We meet at 15 King Street, Newtown.

Every 1 or 2 months, special lunches are held for the 10am family. This is an opportunity to share fellowship together, eating beautifully prepared food on the lawns in the sunshine. Upcoming dates: 15th August, 31st October, 19th December.

The 10am Service needs around 30 volunteers each week! Each person who helps in various parts of the service, like ushering and morning tea, helps all of us enjoy our time together.

Rosters for these jobs are made three times per year (for March-June, July-October and November-February). Sign up to help at the 10am Service during the 4 weeks prior to the start of the roster. Please consider volunteering - we need your help!
